I found out early on that you could access the final story instance without having to succeed in the Hologram fight atop the Breachmaker, but I was determined that my first time would be following a proper defeat of Scarlet. Tonight I got that chance and I thought it was great. The audio for the instance was great, very atmospheric and the cut-scenes were very nicely done although I might have to give Kasmeer some make-up tips but that might just have been my low res graphics (see previous post).
I’m looking forward to doing the instance again, particularly as I missed out of the ‘Nowhere to hide’ achievement the first time through. And not only the final instance but also the final cut-scene with it’s tantalising glimpse of what’s to come…
The final confrontation.

So outside of Tyria life moves on as normal. High on my real life ‘monthly’ is decorating and making my house ready to go on the market. It’s time to move up and out!
“What does Tyria care of your ‘real life’ activities?” I hear you cry…
“No PC”, I reply.
Unplugged and packed up to prevent any damage via paint or other potential dangers, I find myself watching the last chapter of the living story through low resolution laptop graphics. It’s really not very nice. I was going to wait to post screenshots until I was reconnected but that’s been delayed by a couple of extra days so I thought I’d post anyway, with place-holder shots, and then update them once I’m back in the full graphically-beautiful world I’m used to.
So, with the explanation out of the way, here’s my first experience aboard the Breachmaker on patch day. I was online for the very first boarding event after the patch landed, unfortunately our overflow didn’t quite get a grasp of the mechanics in order for us to succeed on the first try, but I had a great time regardless.

Today’s the day. Heroes of Tyria are preparing for the Battle for Lion’s Arch and I’ve got a message for Scarlet Briar.
“I’m coming for you!”
I’m coming for you Scarlet Briar!
A final confrontation with Scarlet Briar is looming, so a quite moment of reflection seemed appropriate.
A quiet moment of reflection.
Another enjoyable Sunday evening spent with my friends and guildmates doing missions. We regularly party up with two other guilds and share the missions between us, it’s like one nice big extended family. This week we succeeded in all missions including tracking down our bounties (including that pesky Prisoner 1141), rescuing the Quaggans of Mount Maelstrom, besting the maze in Proxemics Lab and completing the Ghost Wolf run.
Commendations for all!
Doing it ‘Ghost Wolf Style’.
Yay! We made it to March, with only a few delayed posts along the way. In honour of the new month, and after the rather traumatic images that came at the end of February, I thought I’d start with something nice and tranquil.
Looks like Evon Gnashblade is going to need some new chairs, although…I never actually saw anyone using them so maybe it won’t matter.
How will Evon recover from this?
