I love those Sundays when I have nothing else to do but play some GW2, today was one of those. Levelled my Charr warrior a little more, pushing him through personal story instances well above his level was very entertaining. Then I allowed him to catch up using some tomes – kind of a risk-reward strategy to levelling. After that were our weekly guild missions, poor Poobadoo was targeted once again. I think Anet should retire him for the one year anniversary of guild missions in game – he’s paid his dues.
To round off the night I dusted the cobwebs off my fractal skills whilst helping take a guildie through on his first run – he loved it and I was pleased that things hadn’t changed since I was last there. Happy days!
Day two of levelling Brutus and he called in moral support from a guildie to get through the confusion that is mapping the Black Citadel.
Taking in the sights of the Black Citadel.
Today I embraced the brave new world of permanent LS content. I don’t need to be in Dry Top every waking moment for the next two weeks, I can go off and do something else without losing my place. So today I decided to level my Charr Warrior, Brutus Ghostbane.

Have had more of a chance to wander round and admire the part of Dry Top we can currently access. My favourite part is Prosperity, the NPCs really make it seem alive I’ve spent quite a bit of time there just listening to the conversations and chatting with the residents. I love the look of the houses, all huddled under the overhang, protected from the sandstorms.
Well I booked a day off work, something I don’t/can’t normally do for patch days amd I’m so glad I did cos today has been a blast. I’ve explored every single nook and cranny of Dry Top and I still don’t think I’ve experienced all the events. I spent a wonderfully frustrating hour inside the Fallen Hopes instance, mainly just trying to get to the top to then leap off and hope to land in a teenie-tiny pile of hay. But perhaps my most amazing achievement of the day was meeting the Legendary Llama, he even does a little dance when you find him so I’ve renamed him the Legendary Llamarama!
Loving the opening of Living Story Season 2 and I can’t wait to see what else is in store. Although if you could ease off on Sylvari villains for a while Tulaah would be grateful…
What a great entrance to Maguuma’s undiscovered lands – loving the patch, so much to see and do. More soon.
Approaching Tangle Root.
As I write this, June is not quite over but now that I’m hopefully back on track with the daily aspect of the project a quick look back at June’s adventures wouldn’t go amiss.
Kira continued valiantly with her exploration of the four corners of Tyria and by the middle of the month she had earned her gold star. She even had time to investigate a mysterious new addition to the Zephyr fleet.
Mount Maelstrom – another day another map cleared.
Kira reaches the temple of Lyssa.
My second time around the map.
Investigating the mysterious ship moored at the Labyrinthine Cliffs.
Kira’s brother Kearran was also busy, besting the champions of the Queen’s Pavilion (in your face Liadri!) and controlling the bosses of the arena, becoming something of an ogre expert.
My ogre-sense is tingling.
And as for Tulaah, she dug deeper in to the Ruined City of Arah as well as finding time to keep the shores of Sparkfly Fen safe for travellers.
Ticked another path off my list to reach Dungeon Master – Arah P1 complete.
What do you mean ‘he’s behind you’?
Lastly, not technically a screenshot but something I wanted to share. After admiring many character commissions posted on sites like Reddit I finally commissioned a picture of my own. I love the result, special thanks to Hayden for drawing it for me.
My first character commission.
