4th March

Today’s the day.  Heroes of Tyria are preparing for the Battle for Lion’s Arch and I’ve got a message for Scarlet Briar.

“I’m coming for you!”

I'm coming for you Scarlet Briar!

I’m coming for you Scarlet Briar!

21st February

So three days into the new patch and I am still finding the most amazing little surprises in the wreckage of Lion’s Arch.  I take my hat/helm off to Anet, they have done the most amazing job in redesigning the landscape; changing the pathways, opening up new (previously unreachable) sections of the city, creating niches, caves and cubbyholes as well as many little details like the Asuran’s security force field and the burst bank vault.

I may spend most of my time in LA chasing after Dolyaks, dodging aetherblades or generally running for my life but every so often I find I have to stop and take a good look around, whilst this usually results in some sort of violent death I have to forgive Anet for that, because I’m just having so much fun.

Sooooooo tempting....

Sooooooo tempting….

I’d assumed that my post today would be the scorching flames and ash-filled air of Lion’s Arch.  Alas, a delay with the patch meant that my experience is delayed till I get back from work tomorrow. I’m only slightly disgruntled, I’d rather the content was stable and right, but I miss not being able to play for the first day.

As I know many of you have been, I hung around in LA for a while listening to constant calls for mesmer portals to the top of the bank and the high point above Traders’ Forum,  for server photo-shoots by the forge, by the fountain, by anywhere really…  After a while I stumbled off and completed about 10 personal story instances with some guildies (idle hands are the Devil’s tools and all that).

But here you go, a Tarnished Coast collective pic on the Lion’s Arch fountain – will we ever see it standing proudly again?

LA (as we know it) goodbye.

LA (as we know it) goodbye.

Wasn’t sure what I was going to post for today’s screenshot until I happened to run across someone that I recognised as a fellow #gw2project365’er – @PaschBlue.  I suppose that is an added benefit of looking through everyone’s daily pictures, beginning to recognise their characters, makes our little #gw2project365 community feel a bit more real.  Perhaps we should try and gather for a picture together at some point (server region allowing)?

P.S. I promise, totally not a stalker 😀

Spotted! Another #gw2project365'er crosses my path.

The next patch is nearly upon us and so I think I will make this post my last in the ‘LA for posterity’ set of shots.  Perhaps LA’s best known resident, Zommoros will have to pack up his mystical belongings (all those precursors he’s sitting on!) and get ready to move to somewhere a bit less Scarletty.
